Alcoholic Beverage License Review

Process

  • All applications must be submitted electronically via email to Zoning@ocfl.net.  Please type ‘Alcohol Beverage License Review’ in the subject line.
  • Under no circumstances will the application be reviewed or signed over the counter.
  • Application requirements:
    1. Completed Alcoholic Beverage License Review Application (PDF) including distances to closest church, school, package liquor store, and adult entertainment establishments.
    2. Completed State of Florida Application which can be found under the Retail Beverage section on the website.
  • Once received that application will be reviewed for compliance with Orange County Code, Sections 38-1414 and 38-1415.
  • For approved applications, an authorized representative from the Zoning Division will sign the State application and send the approved application to the applicant via email.
  • For applications that cannot be approved, a denial letter will be emailed to the applicant outlining the deficiencies. The application can be either amended, or if applicable, the applicant may choose to apply for a variance from the Code requirements.

Temporary or Permanent Extension of Premises

  • Provide State of Florida application.
  • Owner’s Authorization for event.
  • Sketch of proposed area.
  • Use Agreement for on-site/off-site parking.

One, Two, Three Day Permits

This license category allows a bona-fide non-profit civic organization to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises for a period not to exceed 3 days for a single event. The organization must provide Orange County with proof of registration from the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations indicating that it is an active non-profit civic organization. These organizations are limited to 3 permits per calendar year.

Fees

  • $273 (Fee Schedule (PDF)) for distance measurements.
  • $8.00 (without distance measurements).

Submittal Guidelines

Completed applications may be submitted via email to Zoning@ocfl.net or mailed to Orange County Zoning Division 201 S. Rosalind Ave, Orlando FL, 32801.

If submitting via email, you will be prompted to pay online through Fast Track once your application has been reviewed and you will be sent an email on how to pay. If applying via mail, please include a check for the required application fee made out to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners.
